Julie Crenshaw brings a lifetime of dedication and community spirit to her candidacy for Beaufort City Council. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Julie developed strong family and community values early on. She is married to Lee Crenshaw, and together they have four wonderful adult children and are the proud pet parents of two beloved dogs.Julie graduated from Elon University and has spent her time since as a Realtor, working in high end art sales, volunteering with her local EMS services, and supporting a busy household. Julie is well traveled and has a wide range of experiences that she brings to Beaufort, her new home.
Several years ago, Julie and her family moved to Beaufort, where she quickly fell in love with the area's natural beauty, vibrant sense of community, and commitment to historic preservation. Her passion for Beaufort led her to become deeply involved in local initiatives and programs. In 2023, Julie graduated from The Beaufort County Senior Leadership Program, an experience that further solidified her dedication to serving the community.
For the past several years, Julie has volunteered with the Pritchards/Little Capers Turtle Program, contributing to the conservation efforts that protect local wildlife and preserve Beaufort's natural heritage. Her volunteer work is just one example of her commitment to giving back to the community that has given her so much.
